INSTALLATION
============
1. The files are included in a zip archive which contains some folder
path information. If you extract it using WinZip, make sure that the
option "Use folder names" is checked, so that the path information is
preserved.
2. If the font Lionspaw is not already installed on your computer,
install it via Control Panel > Fonts. Select the file Lionspaw.ttf
from the C:\Program Files\Ghoti Fingers.
3. Add Ghoti Fingers to your Start menu if you decide to keep it.
4. If you want a sound file of each phoneme to be played every time
you press a key, you must make sure that the correct FULL path name
of the folder containing the sounds is entered in the Options
dialogue (e.g., "C:\Program Files\Ghoti Fingers\gfsounds\" (without
the inverted commas)).

Full documentation on Ghoti Fingers itself is included in the help
file gfhelp.chm.

UNINSTALLING
============
WHY, for God's sake? Delete the Ghoti Fingers folder. Then delete the
file GF.INI, which should have been saved in the C:\Windows folder.
(GF.INI is just a text file containing your Ghoti Fingers settings.)

RELEASE NOTES
=============
Sun 25/07/1999 Ghoti Fingers v1.0 unleashed on the world.

Sun 01/08/1999 v1.01 - Toolbar buttons are now IE-type buttons.

Fri 06/08/1999 v1.1 - "Target window selector" added.
					Large/small window selector buttons added.
					Splash screen added.
Pressing a virtual key now produces a "virtual
keyboard event" in the target application, whereas
in previous versions it simply added a specific
character to the text area in the Ghoti Fingers
window. This might cause problems with punctuation
					marks on non-British keyboards.

Sun 08/08/1999 v1.12
Splash screen removed, because it was causing
errors on some people's computers. "Keep on top"
option added to Edit menu. Window handle is now
always "Ghoti Fingers", regardless of the name of
the file that is open -- in order to avoid errors
when sending characters to the Ghoti Fingers text
					area.

Mon 09/08/1999 v1.13
International capability added, to allow user to
select between UK and US keyboards. (In previous
version, for users with US keyboards, pressing '
produced ` and pressing " produced @.) This is
accessed via a new Options window, via the Edit
menu. The "Keep on top" option has now been moved
					to the Options window.
Ghoti Fingers now saves Options-window settings in
					the file C:\Windows\GF.INI.
The window handle once more shows the current file
					name.

Sat 14/08/1999 v1.2 beta
Ghoti Fingers speaks: whenever a letter key is
pressed, a .WAV file of the corresponding sound is
played. A "Play" button plays the sounds for all
of the letters in the text area.
Added a button to lock out the target window
selector, so that all keystrokes are sent
automatically to the Ghoti Fingers text area.
NB: The new additions are not yet covered in the
					help file.
